The Web forming system with precise feeding unit is used for web forming and simultaneous feeding of a bonding system like thermobonding or needlepunch. It is mainly used where card or airlay systems can't be used because of productspecific or economical reasons.

The Web forming system basically consists of the following components:
  • Precise feeding unit
  • Vibrating unit
  • Front web forming unit with adjusting system
  • Transport conveyor
  • Weigh belt (optional)


Function:

The storage area of the precise feeding unit is fed by a fine opener or other opening machine until the maximum filling level is reached. Filling level in the storage box is constantly monitored by light barriers to achieve a well balanced filling level.

The precise feeding unit is equipped with 5 pinned rollers to guarantee a uniform feeding into the web forming device. Uniform fibre feed is unrenounceable for a constant quality of the web.

The adjustable pinned pair of feed roller delivers the fibre material of the storage area towards the first opening roller underneath. Its beeing taken over by a parallel arranged working roller, resulting in a precise handing over of high opened fibres towards the fine opening roller. The material gets an additional opening and combing action before it drops into the web forming device.

A level control that works across the complete workings width of the machine ensures an even distribution of the fibre material in the dosing system.

The oscillating backwall is beared on top and bottom to execute pre- compression and web forming in one working cycle

The depth of the web forming system is infintely variable by lifting unit and ac motor. Preliminary election of the depth is corresponding to the desired thickness, weight and density of the web.

A deflection roller at the front wall guides the web from vertical to horicontal direction onto the conveyor belt underneath. The speed of the belt is equal to the speed of the following bonding system.

The web is beeing taken over by a weigh belt. The preset weight is monitored and compared with the actual weight on the belt. Differences from weight will be compensated by increasing or decreasing the speed of the vibrating unit and / or the speed of the conveying belt.
