Mixmaster Mixmaster		The Mixmaster or Blendmaster is used to blend different types of fibre material. The differences between these types could be fibre length, thickness, material or colour. But it is also used for storage of ready blends, as a feeding machine in dye houses, wool scouring lines or for automatic card feeding. The Blendmaster is preferably used, where not enough floor space for several blending bins + emptying unit is available. The Mixmaster basically consists of the following parts: Intake table with bin unit Spiked lattice sheet with toothed belts Stripping roller Suction funnel Function: The bin unit of the Mixmaster is filled from an opening line until the maximum filling level is reached. After the filling process has been finished, the fibre material is taken towards the spiked lattice by an feed table in tubular steel construction. The feed table is equipped with a pilgrim step motion switching device in order to obtain a uniform blending result with high production. Pilgrim step motion means the unit carries out the following movements: Forward, Stoppage, Backward, Stoppage - and so on. The time sequences for these movements can be programmed. The spiked lattice is started if the lower light barrier is darkened. It will take the fibres upwards until they are stripped off at its downwards movement on the backside by a doffing roller and passed into the fibre collection funnel. To prevent the spiked lattice from damages, it is monitored by an amperemeter. Is the pressure against the lattice to high, respectively the drive of the lattice has a to high power consumption, the feed table will stop its forward movement until normal working conditions are reached again. To prevent the fibre material from "rolling" , the upper level in front of the lattice is maonitored by a light barrier. This light barrier stops the feed table in order to allow the spiked sheet to work off all the accumulation of fibre material Filling and Emptying of the bin unit at the same time If the mixmaster should be used for rebinning or for storage of a second blend, it is possible to divide the bin unit with a sectional door into two sections. The size of the filling sections depends on production requirements.
